I bought the Tampax Plastic Compak Pearl On-the Go product. Each tampon would only come out of the plastic about 1/2 inch - fully come out of the platic holder at all! I finally had to start pulling the tampons out of the plastic and pushing them in myself! Will never buy again!

Nothing like the original Pearl!

I have been frustrated with these since I first purchased them. I am forcing myself to use them because I spent money on them, but, for as well as they work, I might as well just throw them away. The original Pearls are great, they fit well, stay in place and give great protection. Why have these been made sub par? The size is great, and that is where it ends!

Cons: difficult to insert
The click design is horrible. When trying to insert, the cotton stays in the plastic. I sometimes have to take the cotton out and manually insert it myself. Very uncomfortable. The tampon does not stay locked in, and starts to slip out only after an hour, so the protection rate is very low. I have used these for two cycles. I will not be purchasing these again.

I have used Tampax Compak for several years and have always been very satisfied with them. I like how small they are so you can carry them anywhere with you, and you can barely tell they're a tampon from the pretty packaging! I think they're very comfortable and the perfect size. Other tampons I found to be uncomfortable and too big.

The compak pearl tampons weren't terrible! I had the same protection as the pearls. I don't think Id buy these over the pearls because they are uncomfortable to put in and were hard to hold because of how they are made. The plastic is really thin... love the compact idea of them though!

I would not buy this product again, love the regular pearl but these are horrible, very uncomfortable and the applicator is horrible! Not only is it uncomfortable but it is also nothing like the original pearls. VERY disappointed that I spent so much on something I will never use again after the first try!!

I love the tampax pearl, and have tried other similar products, and figured this would be a great buy. I found the tampon itself was horrible. Despite when you put it in, taking it out shows you just how poorly it projects. The tampon gets stretched out and collects nothing. They need to use the same great tampon with the new look. The other companies have you just add the top push part of the tube in (as opposed to tampax's pull-out method). If they fix these horrible tampons, I would buy it again.

They do not protect nearly as well as regular Super tampons. I have soaked through the Super in less than 2 hours. Never happens with the regular size Supers. These must be made of something different. I

I just went through 4 tampons out of this current box and none of them worked the way they are supposed to. The tampon itself stayed in the plunger part of the applicator, so it did not come out of the applicator. When I tried to push it through, the whoe plastic plunger part just came out of the applicator instead of the tampon. Talk about frustraing! I couldn't even use them!! Waste of money if they don't work! They cost way too much to just throw them away without being able to use them! On a more positive note, the regular Tampax Pearls are wonderful! Comfortable and leak resistant! I just do not recommend the Compak ones.

Thought I would try something more affordable, boy that was not cool. Would not recommend this product as the tampon has a tendency to "catch" inside the applicator and not insert... It is not that comfy and the leak "guard" does not work. Would have thought a company that makes generally good tampons would put more effort into their products, especially when going into a demanding market of smaller more discreet tampons.

I have a light period and have been finding it difficult to find tampons that are "light" as regulars are often too much. The tampax compaks are perfect. They give me the absorbency with the best application I have seen, with a large ridge to help keep a hold on it. I haven't had any major issues, sometimes I notice they leak a little because they haven't opened enough or what not, but overall great! If they were to improve the tampon itself a little this would be an AMAZING product.

I bought a box that had both Super and Regular Tampax Pearl Compacts. Personally, I did not like them at all. The only benefit was they are so small/easy to carry around. However, I leaked through a super WAY before I leak through a normal Regular Tampax Pearl. I was swimming and had to change a Super Compact every hour at least. I guess if you have a light flow or are at the end of your period, these might work for you. However, DO NOT expect the same protection as their normal Pearl Line.

The wrapper is loud, applicator has no grip, tampon is too long, leak guard skirt causes discomfort!! EVERYTHING about this product is BAD. Seriously the leak guard skirt is there for no reason but to discomfort you. It leaks anyway!!!

Honestly the tampax pearl compak isn't that great. Sure it's cute and little but that doesn't matter. The tampon to me is uncomfortable because of the little flaps on the bottom (if you look at it you will know what i'm talking about). They are supposed to be there for extra protection but honestly are uncomfortable and seem to be there for no reason. I say this because when using these tampons I will leak when the tampon isn't even half way full yet. Because it doesn't expand enough the blood will leak down the sides. TERRIBLE TAMPONS! Go for Playtex Sport! 360 degree protection, better quality, and cheaper.

These aren't identical to the regular Tampax pearl, but I still love them. The protection is great, I haven't had one leak on me, and the size is fantastic for carrying around in pockets, clutches, etc. It eliminates the need to tote a huge purse to the bathroom! They're just as comfy as the regular pearl tampons, and the applicator is easy to use and not painful at all. They are definitely better than the U by Kotex. Love them!

I love Tampax Pearl tampons. They are the best ever - easy to use, absorbant, fabulous! I decided to try Pearl Compaks because I had a BOGO coupon. They are HORRIBLE. The applicator is nothing like the wonderful Pearl applicator. The tampon itself is nothing like a Pearl in terms of shape and absorbancy. Shame on Tampax for slapping the Pearl name on these things! They should just be called Compak.

Cons: applicator defect
The applicator on this product sticks, causing the product to hang up in the applicator but appear to have been used, while in fact it is still in the applicator.
I was in a hurry on my way to work, and the product was responsible for a terrible, humiliating accident!

I have been usng the normal Tampax Pearl since I started my period, so has my mom so she bought them for me. I absoulutly love the brand and so I decided to try the Compax. I wish the Compax did have the Leakguard braid instead of skrit. But I love the product and will continue to buy them. One thing that would make these even better is if they could have a better applicator I expect something better from Tampax considering that the normal Pearls have a great applicatior and some easy to open less loud packaging. But overall these are great tampons that I can use on the go.
