The wrapper is loud, applicator has no grip, tampon is too long, leak guard skirt causes discomfort!! EVERYTHING about this product is BAD. Seriously the leak guard skirt is there for no reason but to discomfort you. It leaks anyway!!!

Honestly the tampax pearl compak isn't that great. Sure it's cute and little but that doesn't matter. The tampon to me is uncomfortable because of the little flaps on the bottom (if you look at it you will know what i'm talking about). They are supposed to be there for extra protection but honestly are uncomfortable and seem to be there for no reason. I say this because when using these tampons I will leak when the tampon isn't even half way full yet. Because it doesn't expand enough the blood will leak down the sides. TERRIBLE TAMPONS! Go for Playtex Sport! 360 degree protection, better quality, and cheaper.

These aren't identical to the regular Tampax pearl, but I still love them. The protection is great, I haven't had one leak on me, and the size is fantastic for carrying around in pockets, clutches, etc. It eliminates the need to tote a huge purse to the bathroom! They're just as comfy as the regular pearl tampons, and the applicator is easy to use and not painful at all. They are definitely better than the U by Kotex. Love them!

I love Tampax Pearl tampons. They are the best ever - easy to use, absorbant, fabulous! I decided to try Pearl Compaks because I had a BOGO coupon. They are HORRIBLE. The applicator is nothing like the wonderful Pearl applicator. The tampon itself is nothing like a Pearl in terms of shape and absorbancy. Shame on Tampax for slapping the Pearl name on these things! They should just be called Compak.

Cons: applicator defect
The applicator on this product sticks, causing the product to hang up in the applicator but appear to have been used, while in fact it is still in the applicator.
I was in a hurry on my way to work, and the product was responsible for a terrible, humiliating accident!

I have been usng the normal Tampax Pearl since I started my period, so has my mom so she bought them for me. I absoulutly love the brand and so I decided to try the Compax. I wish the Compax did have the Leakguard braid instead of skrit. But I love the product and will continue to buy them. One thing that would make these even better is if they could have a better applicator I expect something better from Tampax considering that the normal Pearls have a great applicatior and some easy to open less loud packaging. But overall these are great tampons that I can use on the go.

Love the ease of these tampons, just click and go. They are a great size. The protection was not as great as the regular tampax pearls. Overall great product, great design, but the packaging is horrible! These are suppose to be discrete and easy to put into your purse. The problem is the packaging around the tampon falls off with normal bumping in the purse, and then you have an open tampon floating around with whatever else has made its way into your purse. The packaging on the regular pearls is great, never comes loose in my purse, and the is easy to open, without opening on its own. The Compak's though are made with a different material and are flimsy and have caused many wasted tampons for me. I don't trust using an open tampon that has been floating around in my purse.

I used to use the compac many moons ago when i was a teen. They are discreet and were easy to carry around at school. Back then they were made of the cardboard which you could just push them back in the cardboard if they fell out and worked great, but the new ones they make with the plastic are horrible! The absorbancy is not what it says it is, and for many woman out there who have heavy periods does no good and very embarressing accidents. Us woman need something reliable and I will only use tampax brand and always brand. I do hope that they go back to the original compac as they did work great!

Noisy wrapper/applicator problem

Great concept but if you want a tampon you can have in your pocket handy and discreet this doesn't work because the wrapper is crinkly and loose, so when you move or walk it makes noise in your pocket. And if you push too far the applicator goes right along with tampon and must be fished out. Defeats the purpose of an applicator. Still prefer the no applicator brand for pocket convenience and discretion. Suggest Tampax use the soft and quiet wrapping they use on regular tampons for this one as well.

I loved how easy the Compac was to just slip in my pocket. But relying on it isn't so smart. I thought it would absorb like a normal Regular tampon, but it absorbed as much as a light would.. It will get you by for a little though. :3

I decided to buy tampax brand because I was having trouble with the generic brand and I am so glad because I love them. They really are compact but they have all the protection and size of the regular sized tampon. I would suggest this product to any woman that was looking for a good tampon brand.

I have been using the compaks as long as I can remember. I LOVE THEM!! They rarely leak and are super comfortable.I learned that its easier to open them from the end that pulls out, not the tip. I love the fact they are easy to hid because I teach and its really awkward when a students asks what you have in your hand.
I just can't say how much I like them and hope they never stop making them!

I am a big fan of the orginal Tampax Pearl but they were out of the one I usually use last time I went to the store so I decided to try these. It came in cute packaging but I was very disappointed in the applicator. I had to waste many because every time I removed the applicator the actual tampon came out with it. It is nowhere near the excellent quality of the orignal unfortunately.

Not What I Expected

I love the "Compak" idea because during/before class I always want to be discrete about taking a tampon the bathroom and the size makes it extremely easy to do and it's also nice to have in your purse as it doesn't take up too much space and it's easy to hide.
A few downsides were that it wasn't what I was expecting as far as the material of the plastic. The plastic isn't the same smoothness as the regular-sized/shaped pearl-like tampons which I love. I was really hoping for that and was discouraged to see what seemed like a cheaper material. The structure also seems a bit flimsy and needs to be a bit sturdier.
I also do not like how if you buy the combo packs of lite/regular/super they have individual boxes for each size type. I always like having one big box with divisions within the box instead. This is just a personal preference of mine.
I also did not like the wrapping of the tampons. It seems a bit cheap and it's difficult to put the plastic applicator back inside the wrapping neatly. It doesn't have the convenient flaps the regular-sized/shaped ones do.
I like Tampax Pearl, but I did not like the Compak ones. I will probably stick with the regular sized/shaped ones.

I hate this product. The product is very cheaply made, flimsy, and the applicator does not always work. I've used the Tampax products for over ten years; this product is definitely a huge disappointment to me.

Pros: attractive wrapping
I absolutely love this product! I won't use anything else. It gives great protection and I can't believe the comfort. It's easy to use and the Pearl applicator makes all the difference. I also love its compact factor. The applicator collapses and allows for even more discretion while I carry it in my purse. I'm comfortable wearing it, using it, and carrying it! I just LOVE it!

The applicator falls apart way to easily when extended. I've had many fall apart and get wasted because the end falls off. The little ledge meant to hold it on doesn't at all. I'm very dissapointed
